Business Development Representative

SepiSolar is looking for a Business Development Representative, to act as a liaison between customers and our marketing & sales teams. You are responsible for driving targeted, outbound prospecting activities into a set of assigned accounts. You are an extension of the Sales team with a main focus of identifying, developing and creating new business opportunities for the Technical Sales Executive. You should also have experience of developing leads for marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.

You will generate qualified leads primarily through outbound phone and email efforts. You are responsible for prospecting, researching, qualifying and transitioning new leads to our Sales Team. You must be highly motivated and ambitious self-starter, able to identify and develop new business prospects from prospect lists as well as individual research. You must also have experience navigating through organizations, doing deep discovery and speaking to multiple decision makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Research competitive landscape, understand customer pain points and create a customer persona
  • Assist in marketing collateral and revision tracking
  • Lead generation and qualify leads for marketing campaigns
  • Outreach potential customers through emails and phone calls
  • Take lead in sales campaigns and process responses
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospects and Sales Team
  • New customer on-boarding
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with customers
  • Actively seeking feedback from customers
  • Liaison between existing customers and engineering team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales or business development preferably in energy design and engineering, and, or the Solar PV Industry
  • Well organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong business development, prospecting, sales and/or marketing background
  • Proficiency with software tools such as SalesForce.com, MSOffice, MS Project and other PM software tools
  • Knowledge of solar project industry best practices for all types of applications (i.e. roof, ground mount, parking canopy, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of solar PV and storage products and industries
  • Detail-oriented

Work Location and Status:

  • Fremont, California
