SepiSolar was selected by TCA Architects as its solar design and engineering company for Wilde Lake Middle School in Columbia, Maryland. Wilde Lake is the first publicly funded school in the U.S. to receive LEED Platinum certification.

The solar installation included a 435 kW PV system on the flat roof and 198 kW PV system on a fixed-tilt ground mount. Wilde Lake will be considered “net-zero” since all of its energy usage will be offset by said technologies.

True to SepiSolar’s design, the school now incorporates solar PV, geothermal pumps, advanced building automation controls, and smart building material technologies. This makes Wilde Lake Middle School one of the most technologically advanced schools in the country.
