Alison Wise has been a market expert and strategist in the renewable energy industry for two decades, since her initial role as lead environmental advocate for WashPIRG in 2000. Alison headed up business development for clean energy and technology for the Economic Development Council for Seattle & King County as the area adapted to larger innovation projects and programs. She most recently led the energy market strategy team for Samsung’s IoT cloud platform, and was a senior strategic analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory working in the Deployment and Industrial Partnerships section, where she led the region`s chapter of the Clean Economy Network. She served on the policy steering committee of the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association and is an active participant in several virtual communities in the clean energy and clean technology space.
In 2002, she founded a trade association in California named Sea Change, one of the first organizations that directly advocated for policies that would give environmentally sustainable businesses, renewable energy interests and eco-regenerative business practices a competitive advantage in the marketplace. She has held executive, sales and marketing roles at solar project development and community solar corporations nationally. She holds a BA from Reed College in History & Alternative Biology and an MBA from the University of Oregon.
