SepiSolar was honored to be the solar engineering and design company selected for the construction of Wilde Lake Middle School in Columbia, Maryland. Wilde Lake is the first publicly-funded school in the United States to receive LEED Platinum certification.
True to SepiSolar’s design, the school now incorporates solar PV, geothermal pumps, advanced building automation controls, and smart building material technologies. This makes Wilde Lake MS one of the most technologically advanced schools in the country.
The solar installation included a 435 kW PV system on the flat roof and 198 kW PV system on a fixed-tilt ground mount. Wilde Lake will be considered "net-zero" since all of its energy usage will be offset by said technologies.
